In the formation of the movie "Kafka", the creators did as much as they could to make it Kafkaesque. For something to be Kafkaesque it must first of all have a sense of obscurity and/or surrealism. Another defining aspect of something that is Kafkaesque is its weariness of routine, or the general humdrum of life. Most of this facet of Kafkaesque takes place in Kafka's office. The first being the repetition of the employees punching in at the beginning of the workday.
