This Napoleanic strategy is not discussed by Weigly in the chapter, which is perhaps its biggest drawback. Weigley does not give quite the wide range of possible consequences, as were known when he wrote the book. But for the time he takes to discuss it, he does a fairly good job mixing political, and military issues together to give a fairly accurate picture of Korea.
