Fortunately, for the health of Floridians, Amendment 6 passed with an overwhelming approval of 70.8%. It passed in all of Florida's 67 counties. With its addition to the Florida Constitution on January 7, 2003, Florida's non-smoking citizens will have an opportunity to live a healthier life without having to breathe the deadly smoke filled air produced by others.
