a mirror, at first everything is pleasing to the subject, but it is usually under further scrutiny that a person begins to find his or her flaws and become slightly unhappy with their reflection. The mirror reminds everyone that they are not perfect and no matter how beautiful a person may appear they can not hide from themselves. A person's harshest criticism comes from within, and no makeup or boob-job can ever cover that up.
