is not the same as brainwashing because only some forms of advertising are considered to be brainwashing, however, many other forms of advertising are completely different to brainwashing. It is the viewer who decides whether they want to use the product/service that is being advertised. The advertisement does not say that the audience has to buy the product; it is simply saying what the product is and how you may benefit by using it.
