the United State's supremacy in the world today likens the idea of annexation brought upon Canada years ago. It is surprising that considering the benefits merging has, and these previous historic facts, Canada and the U.S. have not already merged. Due to Canada's ever friendlier ties with the U.S., their undeniable similarities, and talks of American Annexation in the past, a union of Canada and the United States in the future is inevitable.
