An Officer and a Gentleman was made in 1982. It stars Richard Gere as Zack Mayo, Debra Winger as Paula Pokrifki, and Louis Gossett, Jr. as Sgt. Emil Foley. I think that the cast is amazing. Louis Gosset, Jr. won best supporting actor for his role, and Debra Winger was nominated for best supporting actress for hers. I think that my favorite part of the movie is the ending although it is not unexpected it is still the best ending of all time. This movie makes a great date movie because it can keep the interest of both the male and the female. It is definitely on my top ten list.
