There're many factors which caused the Second World War. One of them is appeasement. Appeasement is a diplomatic policy which aims to settle grievances of nations by negotiation rather than military force. It was mostly supported by the Britain prime minister at the time, Neville Chamberlain. It's said to be one of the biggest factors of the Second World War because of the following items:

Second World War. However, there were a lot of factors created the war. Appeasement was only one of it. So we can't simply say that appeasement is good or bad, we can neither say that it was appeasement which created the war. I think, even if Britain didn't use appeasement, the world would just broke out as well. Appeasement did started the Second World War, but it wasn't all appeasement's fault which started the war.
