Are we all desensitized toward violence, and if so is this a new thing? Well, the media is the icing on the cake, but it's not the root of desensitization. Public viewing of violence goes back to the beginning of time. Take the Roman times for example. They had mass gatherings in coliseums to watch people being get tortured. Even in the early American times, there were public viewings of people being hung to death.

not right to feel this way about violence but it is the way the media has changed the way we think.
There is little we can do about changing the media and how people think. You can always try to change the way things are, but for me, I'm not going to waste my time. I would rather go on enjoying my life the way it is, and not worry about trying to change it.
