During World War I, there were many occupations of territory by both sides of the conflict. During this time, there were many acts of atrocities, immoral acts against humankind, which occurred. Some of these events were real, while others were pure acts of fabrication. Either way, these events were used as propaganda to help supply the war effort. World War One, many of them were pure fiction. They were stories that took the truth and exaggerated to the point where it became an atrocity. The use of this propaganda during the war sparked a new hate for the enemy, and helped support the war effort. Even so, atrocities occurred during the war, and it was because of these atrocities that the Geneva Convention was formed in order to prevent future atrocities during warfare.
