After my bus had arrived, and we rolled out of the station, we passed by the Grassy Knoll where Kennedy was shot. I was somewhat overwhelmed by this, my first major landmark. I'd remember this, I knew, for the rest of my life. I think he said 'Half-gallon, wanna drink?'" I told him as he turned to talk to Mike again.
"Dude do you wanna turn back and see what's up?" Mike looked back and asked what time my bus was leaving. The clock on his radio read 12:03.
"Not until 4:15. I'm up for it if you are."
"Sure. What the hell." Mike said as he turned around. Finally, I thought, this night is going a little better.
