Otis Stephens, was executed in Georgia on December 12, 1984 by electrocution. However, the first charge of electricity that they gave him failed do the job and the man struggled to breath for eight minutes before they gave him another charge.(LEO, p.86). How much did he suffer for those eight minutes. Count eight minutes on your watch and imagine through that time, experiencing unimaginable, intense pain. Those would be the longest eight minutes of your life.
