Every year between the end of November and the end of December, Jewish people around the world celebrate the holiday of Chanukah, the Festival of Lights. Chanukah (word means "rededication") begins on the 25th day of the Hebrew month of Kislev, on the year of 3622. This holiday celebrates the events which took place over 2,300 years ago in the land of Judea, which is now Israel. In order to remember this miracle, we light a Menorah

a large meal, presents, and games. This holiday brings a lot of joy to many, and I love it a lot. It gives me a sense of my culture, making it very special to me and my family, as it must have been to my ancestors. The present giving is really annoying but when you see that you put a smile on the person's face because of your gift it makes it all worth while.
