All people have inalienable rights and every one deserves their freedom. Isn't that what America is all about? The South teared the Union apart by succeeding the states. It was a very selfish act on their part. The actions of the South were insulting to the Constitution, and their behavior was atrocious to the slaves and to all of mankind.
