Gatsby, in love with Daisy, is an innocent pawn that gets shot for keeping his mouth shut and Daisy pretended like nothing happened while all of this went on. Both novels represented all of the technical definitions of a tragedy but in the end The Great Gatsby was more tragic and had a heartbreaking ending.
