Throughout the war there were two very clear reactions from the American population to the country's involvement in Vietnam; the pro-war (supporters of the war) and the anti-war (non-supporters of the war). War in the beginning, through the horrific sights which were broadcast was actually promoting anti-war beliefs.
It is not known what president Kennedy who oversaw the start of the war would have done and whether he had some other plan for Vietnam, as he was assassinated. The view of the war through the eyes of modern film makers and throughout the study of this topic I feel in support of the opposers of the War.
