For these individuals, perhaps love does not possess a reality. They may be afraid of the responsibility that comes with commitment, or perhaps they simply never met the person that they wished to commit to. I believe, however that being able to connect deeply with others is necessary for personal happiness. Love is simply one of God's greatest gifts, and a basic and essential part of life itself. Therefore, it very much has a reality.
