The trinity located in the church of Santa Maria novella in Florence in 1428. The trinity refers to the Christian concept of father, son, and the Holy Ghost. You can see the father holding the arms of Christ on the cross, and the dove above Christ's head represent the Holy Ghost.

paint and Eyck used glazes with success. The reflection of the metal is noticeable in this painting. The artist was interested in creating the illusion of three dimensional space and form. In addition he was very much interested in the effects of light. As we can see with his painting here he did not use true one point perspective because there are many orthogonal lines and they do not converge at a single vanishing point.
