An example of this is the only reason Astaire and Rogers seem to be drawn together is because of their talent to dance rather than a mutual feeling of not wanting to live without one another. Great music and dance routines can only carry a movie so far. A better script and real chemistry between the characters rather than mutual talent to dance would have made this a more enjoyable movie to watch.
