Franz Fanon is known mainly for his writings on behalf of the national liberation of colonial peoples. In his book Black Skin, White Mask (1952), Fanon reflected his personal frustrations with racism. A comparable contrast can be made and seen between the ideas expressed in the works of Fanon and the ideas of the U.S. Civil Rights movement.
