Fredrick Douglass(born Frederick Augustus Washington Baily) was born as a young slave in Tuckhoe in Febraury 1818 to his mother Harriet Bailey. Fredrick was taken from his mother as a young child and sent to Lloyd Plantation with his master Aaron Anthony in 1824. From 1844-45 He wrote The Narrative and published it on May 28 1845 in Boston. In 1847 he started his own newspaper called "The North Star", it was published on December 3 of that same year. In 1851 Fredrick decided to change the name his newspaper to "Fredrick Douglass Paper". On February 20th 1895 fredrick Douglass died of a heart attack, leaving behide his his wife and four children. Still to this day Fredrick Douglass is remember for his great work.
