Freedom vs. Security On September 11th, 2001, an attack was made on The United States of America. Nineteen terrorists boarded and hijacked four passenger airlines, and used them as weapons against buildings in New York and Washington D.C. The fourth plane was brought down in rural Pennsylvania. Many think that these precautions violate our freedoms as citizens of a democracy. I, on the other hand, believe that these steps are necessary to preserve our rights and freedoms. Throughout our history as a democratic nation, we have learned that freedom always comes at a price, and is never really free.
