Harry S. Truman, 32nd President of the United States , was born May 8, 1884, in Lamar, Missouri. He was the son of John Anderson Truman and Martha Ellen Young Truman. The detractors bemoan America's failure to establish some sort of warmer relations with the Soviet Union.
