I have been asked to play the part of 'Reverend John Hale' in a stage production of 'The Crucible'. 'The crucible is a play based on the Salem witch trials, which took place in the sixteenth century, and is centred around the them of naming names and passing the blame. …showed last 75 words of 1286 total…but know hale has more of an opinion of him. He realises that Danforth cares more about his reputation then the amount of people he is sentencing to death. He knows that Abigail is lying, but instead of admitting that he is wrong chooses to protect his reputation. Hale feels that Danforth is arrogant and selfish and so goes against him and the court. He was one of the reasons my character quit the court.
