Inspector Goole is the character in "Inspector Calls" play written by J.B Priestley in 1945 that I will be analysing. when he says to Mr Birling that he should have raised the salary and Mr Birling replies "I chose how to run my business". But on general altough he was not very effective I think he couldn't have done better because Mr and Mrs Birling have others views of what is a community and even if they knew they didn't act well they would never admitt it like the other three did.
