Women in this time period were goal oriented. Both of the previously mentioned documents were meant to exemplify the situations that came about from these two significant movements of the past. Women's rights and the abolishment of slavery impacted the future of the United States greatly. These documents parallel each other in a complimentary way that enables the reader to understand the way that early Americans fought their battles.
