our legal system today. We have created a system of checks and balances to further control the very system itself which rules over us as a people. Both Locke and Hobbes have many valid points in their political works but also have many flaws. As far as I'm concerned the present political system of the United States of America has found a desirable middle ground between absolute governmental power and total freedom of it's citizens.
