His wife, Lady Macbeth nursed that seed as she was blinded by her greed and manipulated Macbeth into thinking that he wanted what she wanted, which was for these prophecies to come true no matter what the cost. Then his ambitions just ran away with him for the rest of the time. They got carried away, taking many people with him, and letting his flaw become his undoing, which ultimately resulted in his death.
