Abstract: This laboratory class introduced the external anatomy of the shark under visual inspection.
Introduction: Although a few species of sharks venture into fresh water on occasion, all sharks are marine fishes. They are an easily recognizable group of fish to most people, although their closest evolutionary relatives are the very different looking skates and rays.

fins, and a tail. The eyes are glossy and blue in color. The skin of the shark had various textures in different parts of its body. It is rougher on the dorsal side than on the ventral side. We observed five gills slits that were found on either side of the head. Also, two holes were observed on either side of the head. Our length of our shark was anywhere from two to three feet.
