some craters left by mines, bombs, and grenades. Normandy has built a cemetery with the bodies of nearly 10,000 people. The Germans have the hardest memories but some of the German veterans still have pride in fighting for their country. A lot of people have recovered from this day but family members of those who died still have this horrible day in their memories and so do the survivors of this destructive invasion known as D-Day.
