the norms of society or learnt from other sources, the individual will have there own take on each argument or suggestion and therefore form their own opinions and take part in their own arguments. I feel it is impossible as a human not to be a philosopher, as if you have your own mind; you have your own ideas and opinions and a thirst for knowledge, and that in itself is the definition of philosophy.
