Placido Domingo is a Spanish tenor. He was born in Madrid, Spain in 1941. Domingo learned the piano, learned how to sing, and conducted opera's in Mexico. He is known for having one of the best tenor voices of his generation. He has been to many opera house's around the world to perform different roles. In 1960 he sang in his first major role, that of Alfredo in the opera La traviata, by Italian composer Guiseppe Verdi.
