Schindler is not enough. The movie, for example, focuses for a good while on the pure enjoyment of the soldiers in their rage of killing. Why? One would have liked to get an explanation, not merely a depiction of the horror in Byelorus as well as Auschwitz.
One watches smug Americans today, driving Mercedes and BMWs, Audis and VWs. The world's attitude seems to have changed. But, one cannot help wondering: Could it happen again?
