After reading and analyzing Act II scene II of the Romeo and Juliet play I get the impression that Romeo is either really in love or that he is just full of lust and has an infatuation with Juliet. I gain this opinion due to the fact that he already has a female acquaintance and he easily leaves her to try to gain the company of Juliet. This scene is the famous balcony scene where

he would rather be killed by them than to die wanting of her love. In my honest opinion Romeo is simply full of lust and is too young and immature to really know and understand what it means to be in love with a person. Although you could interpret the whole balcony scene as him really loving Juliet and Juliet really liking him but telling him to be more rational and think of his life.
