<Tab/>World War I ended November 11, 1918. For the next twenty years there was an uneasy peace in the world. The treaty of Versailles was signed June 28, 1919. The treaty split Germany between the Allies. Germany's army was reduced to 100,000 men. There were allowed to have no subs or planes, and they had to pay for all reparations.
