Robert Cormier Robert Cormier was born on January 17, 1925, in Leominster, Massachusetts and has lived there for most of his life. He is the second of eight children in his family. When he was in elementary school his seventh-grade teacher read one of his poems and told him that it was very good and he could be a writer. Robert wrote many other popular books such as I am the Cheese, We All Fall Down and Beyond the Chocolate War and many others that are very popular. Robert Cormier currently lives in Leominster, Massachusetts with his wife after having four children and is still writing novels for young adults (Novels for Students).
