To many historians and journalists, the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal was the story of how the media was manipulated into serving the needs of three groups: Goldberg and Tripp, Jones' lawyers, and Starr investigators. One can only imagine how the story would have played out had the media not abandoned their journalistic standards.
