If we look at Shakespeare's histories and the question of whether Henry can be seen as a literary hero, I believe that Henry not only is a literary hero, but a literal hero as well. He exemplifies some of the best of those qualities we classify as the ability to lead well , generally without thought for his personal feelings. Henry is a true hero; one that could well serve
as a role model today.
