is bad for us to say we respect them. Why create a negative identity of women, when we can construct a positive one. The hip-hop media's message and techniques should be reevaluated and challenged on an ongoing basis in order to achieve a more accurate representation of our women. The hip hop industry and people must understand that women can be beautiful and desired without using their bodies as external sacrificial icons of negative images.
