Taxes, we all have to pay them no matter what. The government uses these taxes to support the nation, improve the way of life, and to help those that need it. Many people believe that adding new taxes such as the half-cent sales tax increase that Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca is fighting to get instated is wrong. …showed last 75 words of 855 total…is worth more than 15 minutes. These are the reasons why I support the increase. I feel that the lesson that we can learn from this situation is that doing the right thing, really isn't doing the right thing. Also, we are taught to make decisions that benefit everybody and the economy, but I thought that everybody is what makes up the economy. So, if people don't feel protected, how is the economy supposed to improve?
