To me means that it is emotion that affects characters in literature not reason or thought. I Agree with this statement because many stories characters do what they feel is right not what is logically right. Therefore I agree with the quote by Duff Brenna, "All literature shows us the power of emotion, it is emotion, not reason, that motivates characters in literature."
