However, in the case of the Holocaust, the Nazi's stayed in power for years before committing genocide, and actually improved the moral of the German people before they did any damage. Every move was carefully calculated and the majority of people remained ignorant to what was going on. Luckily, since the Holocaust, the government structures of all the Western countries have been reworked, so it is now impossible for someone to take over a nation.
