character is persecuted because of the language they used. Something even more interesting in this play is the fact that the integrity of language is also questioned. Ultimately in this play we see the responses that characters' have toward certain language. We can compare Lear response with the Fool with Lear's response with Kent. This is one of many comparisons that can be made based on the interactions of characters and their response to language.
