The Pentecost was 50 days after the Passover Sabbath and Pentecost celebrated the beginning of the grain harvest in which people brought bread made from grain. An example of an opportunity to spread the gospel may be speaking in tongues; this happened in the Day of the Pentecost- people spoke in various tongues which they did not know of and this was a symbol of Jesus' presence and Jesus working through the people even though he was not present physically.
