seem like love is being mocked. The play does seem to set out to make fun of love and lovers, that is what it appears to me to be doing, therefore I agree with the statement. However, I do not believe that Shakespeare actually intended to ridicule love, as there isn't much point in doing this just for the sake of comedy, instead love is portrayed as a strong and powerful force throughout the play.
