John Brown
<Tab/>John Brown was the spark that ignited the American Civil War. He was truly the factor that ended discussions and compromises, making his war against slavery the nations war. Having his preference of company being black, he was a radical abolitionist nearly his entire life, therefore creating the problems that grew exponentially into a major national conflict costing millions of lives.

organized as soon as possible, violent acts were organized against slave owners, and fugitive slave laws were almost totally ignored.
<Tab/>In conclusion, John Brown and his selfless acts started out as a simple raid, but quickly raged into a war that consumed nearly the entire continent. The war was a good thing in my opinion, changing the fates of the entire black population in the United States for all times.
