"The father of nuclear energy," Ernest Rutherford was one of the greatest physicists of all time. He was the primary founder of nuclear physics. The Copley Medal of the Royal Society was awarded to him in 1922. He became the president of the British Association for the Advancement of Science in 1923. Only two years later he became the president of the Royal Society. In 1925 he was appointed to the Order of Merit. In 1931 he was created Baron Rutherford of Nelson. He passed away in 1937 as one of the most notorious and celebrated physicists of all time.
