These three characters, J.D Salinger, Eddie Scissons, and Ray Kinsella all have dreams that they hope will one day come true. Throughout the novel, they start to believe more and more that their dreams, which seemed almost impossible, may soon be reality. This theme of believing in one's dreams is integral to the novel and is shown ideally in these three characters.
