The survivors of the Holocaust have many bad experiences. They were not fed very well. A guard would count them in groups of 5 every morning, and sometimes would stand there trying to count to 5 for 2 hours. They had chemicals put all over their body to cleanse them and everyone's heads were shaved.
They were only given bread and water to eat. Many people lost brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, children and many other relatives.
