In the play we also see how the english language has evolved in such a way as to complement the culture of the caribbean. Ti-Jean and His Brothers is an engaging and enjoyable play.

play and made it feel less of an Englishmans work and more like the work of someone who knows what he is writing about on a personal basis. By writing the play in the way that he did Walcott made sure that we would not be confused or unsure of the geography of the play. Walcott has shown that english is an extremely malleable language and does not have to be limited to one path.
